Nigeria forward Victor Moses insists that he is "proud to be Nigerian" after helping his side defeat Burkina Faso in Sunday's Africa Cup of Nations.

The Chelsea star played a big part as Sunday Mba scored the only goal that ensured Nigeria would emerge as African champions for the first time in 19 years.

Moses had recently changed allegiance to Nigeria from England and admits that winning the Afcon on Sunday evening was a dream come true.

"one of best days of my life this is a dream come true I'm so proud to be Nigerian. The win is for each and everyone of u back home," he Tweeted.

Nigeria will now play in the Confederations Cup in Brazil later in the year.
