Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Julio Cesar has admitted he is in talks with a number of Premier League clubs - with Arsenal heavily linked to the Brazil stopper.
Cesar has three years left on his contract at the relegated Loftus Road club, but is keen to play at the highest level in the season prior to his home nation hosting the World Cup.
Speaking to Globo Esporte in Rio de Janeiro ahead of Brazil's friendly with England, Cesar said. "I want to stay in England. I am enjoying London and I love the Premier League.
"There are indeed talks with some teams, but nothing definitive. I won't name the teams as it would not be ethical since I am under contract with Queens Park Rangers. I let people responsible for my career deal with it."
The goalkeeper position has been a problem for Arsene Wenger since David Seaman hung up his gloves in 2003, with the latest No. 1, Poland's Wojciech Szczesny, considered far too erratic and injury prone.
Cesar would bring some much-needed solidity between the sticks at the Emirates, but the 33-year-old says his current focus is on the national side - admitting Brazil are not the team they used to be as they head into a 12-month period which sees them defend the Confederations Cup and host the World Cup.
"We don't have a strong group and this is an important time for us," Cesar added. "When [Felipe] Scolari led us to the World Cup in 2002, they talked about the Scolari Family he created. I like to think we can do the same again but it has been difficult because we do not play qualifiers.
"There is so much pressure. Our supporters are so passionate and Brazil always have to win because we are considered the country for football.
"Now we have 30 days together to build the group, working in training and playing games, starting with England.
"My focus is on the Confederations Cup - it is important for the World Cup."
