Transfer deadline day: Victor Moses joins Liverpool from Chelsea on a season ... - Telegraph.co.uk

Moses made 42 appearances for Chelsea last season, with his versatility as a winger and central target man making him an asset for Rafael Benitez's Chelsea side, often off the bench.

The switch will reunite Moses and Daniel Sturridge, who played together at Chelsea before the England striker's move to Anfield in January.

"I spoke to Studge and he wanted me to come here," Moses said. "Daniel is a great player and at the moment is probably the best striker in the Premier League – he's scoring goals, he's got good vision and enjoys his football out on the pitch."

For the most-part, however, Moses is keen to play regular first-team football, having slipped down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.

"The formation and players here will help me and I just want to gel in, get to know the players and play with them," Moses added. "There are a lot of quality players here – they're winning games and creating chances. It's a massive thing for me to be here."
