Wayne Rooney is in line to make his comeback from injury for Manchester United in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Real Betis today.

The 27-year-old has recovered from the hamstring tear that cut short his participation in United's Far East tour and he is ready to line up with Javier Hernandez, Nemanja Vidic, Antonio Valencia and Nani against the La Liga side.

Rooney is still determined to leave Old Trafford with Chelsea weighing up a second bid after their initial 23m  offer was rejected.

He may seek further talks with manager David Moyes next week over his future ahead of United's friendly with AIK in Stockholm. But United remain resolute in their stance to keep him.
