STEVAN JOVETIC is targeting double delight this season.

Manchester City's £22.4million striker wants Champions League glory with his new club — and to make World Cup history with Montenegro.

Jovetic can deny England an automatic route to Brazil 2014 as his nation bids to clinch its first finals appearance from Group H.

Montenegro take on the Three Lions in a crunch qualifier at Wembley in October.

And Jovetic said: "We will talk about that game closer to the time.

"But I hope to give England a hard time!"

The 23-year-old frontman is also making all the right noises about fighting for club success after his move from Fiorentina.

Jovetic said: "I have two dreams — to win the Champions League with City and to go to the World Cup in Brazil with Montenegro.

"I am young, ambitious and I came here to win trophies. I had a beautiful time in Florence but I missed that fight for a trophy.

"I'm hungry for titles and success. Manchester City is the right place for it.

"I am sure that we'll be competitive in the Premier League and Champions League. I can't wait for the challenge."

Jovetic, who was also tracked by Arsenal and Chelsea, reckons the task of winning the title this year has been made simpler following Alex Ferguson's retirement at Manchester United.

He said: "It will be easier for us after Ferguson's departure.

"He is a legend, he knows everything about football, about the Premier League and the players."

But Jovetic admits other teams are also in the title shake-up.

He said: "We have a super team but I think six clubs could be in the fight for the title — City, United and Chelsea and also Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal.

"But this is a charm of football and something that makes the Premier League so strong and interesting."

Jovetic's first task will be to get in Manuel Pellegrini's team ahead of Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and fellow new signing Alvaro Negredo.

He said: "There is a hell of a competition for places in attack.

"But there will be enough space for everyone over the season."
