Chelsea have joined clubs monitoring St Etienne striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The European champions had scouts watch the 23-year-old on Friday night as Aubameyang scored his 17th goal of the season in his side's 2-2 draw with Rennes.

He is under contract until 2016 but has already declared his intent to leave in the summer with Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund also watching regularly.

Leicester have signed former Chelsea midfielder Conor Clifford on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

Clifford, 21, was released by in January, and has been training with Leicester's development squad.

Meanwhile, Leicester have rejected Bolton's request to take Jeffrey Schlupp on loan. Bolton are also to be rebuffed on a bid to sign Manchester City's Scott Sinclair on loan.

I hope all these EPL teams remember Chamakh and think twice about poaching Aubameyang, though he'll probably still leave ASSE this summer. What I -really- want him to do is stay and be awesome. :)
