FA Cup video special: Ben Thatcher was king of Wimbledon's Crazy Gang - The Sun

WE asked you to come up with some tough questions for our FA Cup panellists and you didn't let us down!

SunSport linked up with ESPN football TV show ESPNFC PressPass to give former Wimbledon midfielder Robbie Earle and Middlesbrough mainstay Robbie Mustoe a grilling.

The dynamic duo were put in the hotseat ahead of this weekend's FA Cup Fifth Round as ESPN runs a new poll on fans' all-time FA Cup moments.

Earle, a member of Wimbledon's infamous Crazy Gang in the 1990s, was happy to square up to your questions.

Womble Don asked: "From those great Crazy Gang FA Cup days, just who was the craziest and what was the craziest thing you ever saw him do?"

Bearing in mind a young Robbie played alongside the likes of Vinnie Jones, Dennis Wise and John Fashanu, who all played their part in the Dons' shock 1988 FA Cup final win over Liverpool, there were plenty of candidates.

Earle said: "I'll have to be careful here as this is a family show.

"It would have to be Ben Thatcher, who probably needed therapy!

"Ben once locked our coach driver in the toilet at the back of the coach.

"He then got into the drivers' seat and drove us about 100 yards down the road, I kid you not."

"He was crazy."

Mustoe was asked by Jack Down: "Middlesbrough went from no major cup finals to three in two seasons in 1997 and 1998, including the FA Cup. What clicked in the cups, bearing in mind Boro were relegated in 1997?"

The no nonsense midfielder said: "We had good players. We had Mustoe, Vickers, Pollock, Curtis Fleming ? brilliant.

"Being serious, we'd signed some superstar players, Ravanelli, Emerson and Juninho who was outstanding for us and it all clicked together.

"They were big-name players and the cups for some reason got the best out of the squad.

"Relegation? I don't want to talk about it, it was nothing to do with me.

"Three points deducted from us for failing to play Blackburn Rovers ? that's why we went down.

"But there was no rotation in those days, the same team played week in week out and it was all too much for us."
