Wenger last won the prestigious award in 2008
Arsene Wenger has had to endure a few insults in his time but rarely has he been so damned by faint praise than in France's latest list of player and manager of the year.
This month's issue of France Football magazine publishes the player and manager of the year lists, one of the country's most prostigiuos footballing awards that have been running since the 1960s. They are the equivalent to the PFA awards in Britain.
Arsenal manager Wenger last won the award in 2008 but this year he does not even make the top 10.
To add insult to injury, the coach of Zambia, Herve Renard, finished higher in sixth. Zambia are 39th in the official FIFA team rankings.

Seven players in the Premier League make the top 25 in the French player of the year awards. The highest is goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, who only recent made it into the Tottenham team as a regular starter.
Manchester City's Sami Nasri, who won the award in 2010, only just makes the top 10, behind Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud and Newcastle's Yohan Cabaye.
Patrick Vieira ignored his former boss and voted for winner Karim Benzema, who beat Franck Ribery to the to slot. Benzema was given the award by France legend Zinedine Zidane.
