Chelsea remain confident of completing the signing of Taison from Metalist Kharkiv this month despite Manchester City trying to hijack the move.
An 11million deal had been agreed in principle between Chelsea and the Ukrainian club for the Brazilian midfielder, but Metalist are understood to have demanded more money after City made their own move for Taison.

Benfica and rival Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk have also made enquiries.
However, Chelsea remain determined to sign Taison and have reopened talks with Metalist chiefs over an improved offer.
Metalist are believed to want an extra 2m from Chelsea and want the new deal agreed by tomorrow.

If Chelsea refuse to stump up the extra cash, Metalist will explore interest from the Premier League champions.
Steps for Taison to obtain a United Kingdom work permit have already been taken but the application could prove tricky given that the 24-year-old is not a full Brazil international.

This player looks class, i have seen the clips of him on youtube, his Marco Vanbaston type goal is fab. Plus his skill on the ball looks great, but im not supprised with him being Brazilian. Welcome to Chelsea Taison, he also looks the younger version of Hulk. Isco next and possibly Higiuan, or Cavani. Falcou is Real Madrid bound!! CFC FOR LIFE!!
