ANDRE VILLAS-BOAS reckons managing Spurs is a walk in the park compared to bossing Chelsea.
The Tottenham chief insisted: "It's a different type of environment."
AVB, who was axed after just nine months at Chelsea, has steered Spurs into third in the Premier League.
And he has done it without every decision being analysed the way it was at Stamford Bridge.
Tomorrow he visits bottom-of-the-table QPR, who are managed by his Spurs predecessor Harry Redknapp.
Last week Redknapp said you would have to be "a dope" not to be able to manage Chelsea.
But Villas-Boas argued it is not quite so simple.
He said: "Only if you manage the club can you find out.
"You have to be able to access a club like that to experience it then you have to survive in it. Chelsea is a different group with some different expectations.
"It is a high-profile club where media attention is high and everything is scrutinised and it's a different type of environment.
"Spurs are a high-profile club but with different objectives and not so much media attention.
"Group dynamics are also very important.
"At Chelsea they have had eight or nine managers in recent years. This club has found a bit more stability in management recently but the objectives are not right up there at the moment.
"The step forward is to move into the position Chelsea are, where they compete and they win trophies.
"When that happens the level of expectations happen, the pressure happens and you need to be able to cope with it.
"The situations are then a bit more comparable in terms of expectation.
"We are within the objectives that we set for the season and we have to continue on this run of form.
"The players have been absolutely amazing and we think we are going in the right direction. We are more worried about the future than the past.
"But success for us this season would be Champions League qualification."
Villas-Boas claimed he had never had a conversation with Redknapp.
He said: "We shook hands before the beginning of Spurs v Chelsea but I have never spoken to him."
